ABOUT  THE  ARTIST :

I became interested in the creative arts a decade ago after taking a workshop with artist Hank Kearsley. My primary focus is acrylic painting, though I am also a photographer, a wood carver, and a musician. A significant part of my life has centered around the art world, as both my parents were artists: my father a painter and sculptor;  my mother a potter and painter.

I’m interested in capturing  compelling  psychological glimpses of my family, myself, people, and architectural spaces.  I use bright colors and textures, and strive to create art that has its own life.

My professional exposure in the visual arts involved working at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at MIT; printing mezzotints for artist Gatja Rothe; and working as a teacher.  My paintings can be viewed at my studio at the Arlington Center for the Arts (www.acarts.org), and I can be contacted at:
